Moab

Andy and I had the tremendous opportunity to go to Moab this week with some of his family. It was a really great trip and I can now say I have seen Delicate Arch :) We left on Monday and came home Wednesday. We stayed at a campground/rv park, which was nice (yay for flushing toilets :). We had great weather for hiking although the first night and following morning were pretty darn cold. My only complaint is the first night's sleep. Andy and I had to contend with a "me monster", a "black lung", and a "freight train". Me Monster was some guy nearby talking on his phone for hours. It was somewhat entertaining for the first few minutes but then it just got annoying. He talked about himself pretty much the entire time. Plus he was talking so loud! We were trying to sleep so finally I said "excuse me, sir, could you please take your conversation somewhere else." He didn't listen the first time so I said it a second time and a couple of other people chimed in with "Yeah!" and "Get off your phone!" He quieted down and we felt a little moment of triumph. Then the snoring started. The way the tent sites are situated are there are two right next to each other. The guy next to Andy and me had the most awful snore I have ever heard in my life! It sounded like he was going to die at any moment. He also had an incredibly bad smokers' cough so he would start coughing throughout the night and it would seriously last 5 minutes before he could get it under control. If that's not reason enough to quit, I don't know what is.
Anyway, that was the only complaint I had about the whole trip. The hikes we went on were wonderful and we just had a great time! The desert is an incredible place!

The Me Monster. *chuckles*

I'm glad you said something. *rolls eyes at the cell phone walk and talk people*

:D

Glad you had fun! Can't wait to see all the pics Andy took. :)
