Well, we survived our trip to Oregon. We had ups and downs, good days and bad, but overall it was nice. The weather was windy and a little cold but sunny for the most part. Lily did pretty good on the way there, not so much on the way home and now she just absolutely hates the car. She's good for about 5 minutes then freaks out. (sigh) Anyway, here are some pictures of our trip.

This was at our hotel room in Hood River on the way home. It had been an awful car ride that day and when we got to the hotel they only had one room left due to evacuation from a fire on the other side of the river: a luxury suite. Neither of us wanted to put Lily back in the car to try to find another hotel which may or may not have rooms available so we paid the price and stayed. It was the nicest hotel room I have ever been or will probably ever stay in. In some ways it was nicer than our house. Private balcony overlooking the river, fireplace, big TV with surround sound, two huge rooms with a king bed each, jacuzzi tub, gas stove. Talk about luxury! We stayed until the last possible moment to get our money's worth :)
