A Bug's Life

Can I just tell you how much I despise ants? Sure, they make 'em look cute and almost make you feel sorry for them on A Bug's Life, but with the attack they've made on my home I feel less than happy about their existence. Yes, we have an ant infestation. We're pretty sure they're living underneath the carpet in our living room and also coming in through a crack somewhere in the entryway. So far they haven't fallen for the Borax traps we've set for them, but we're hopeful they will eventually. (Sorry if there are any bug advocates out there reading this. I really don't mind the bugs when they are outside-I leave them alone and avoid stepping on them as I walk down the street-but when they're in my house I'm afraid I show no mercy).

Ashley is a an official and high ranking member of the bug extermination branch of the army.

She shows no mercy, I see the glimmer in her eyes each time she stomps out an innocent life and watches the last remaining threads of life pulse through the quivering limbs of her defenseless prey.

Now that's totally unfair and Andy doesn't paint a complete picture. Yes, I do kill the bugs that have entered our house, but I do feel bad that they wandered into my realm and that they subsequently must be exterminated. I do try to make it as quick and painless as possible for them. I can't help it if they don't die right away. You'd think a shoe coming down on top of them would kill them instantly, wouldn't you?

I've seen you hit them with the shoe, you don't put all your force behind it, I think secretly you want them to survive the first attack so you can subsequently watch them suffer.

Well, I guess you can think what you want, but it doesn't make it true.

Would contact call the managers? They'll do something about it if you write a lovely note filled with complaints. DIE ANTS DIE! We had that problem in our first apartment, too. We never did get rid of them. We just moved upstairs. :)

I too love all creatures, but live and let live ends at the front door. Any creature that enters my domain does so at there own risk. So take no prisoners and show no mercy.

At least you don't have roaches (I will be victorious even if I have to turn my apartment into a super fund site)

Roaches disgust me. Had them in Japan, nasty nasty things. We just filled a spray bottle up with soapy water, it was fun watching them wither in pain as their oily bodies dissolved in the soap.

Mwahahahahaha.
