Can I just say that women got totally shafted. The past couple of days I've been so overemotional and I asked myself "why the heck am I so emotional and crying at such stupid stuff?" Then I remembered, "oh yeah, I'm a woman. That explains it completely right there." Sometimes I feel very annoyed about all the stuff that comes with being female. Right now I feel that insurance companies are against the fact that I'm female as well. I'll explain. Andy and I are trying to figure out health insurance and thank goodness for Alan McDonald, Andy's insurance agent, who has been incredibly helpful. So we fill out the paperwork for this insurance company and send it in. Well, Andy got a call from Alan yesterday saying that Andy's been accepted but they need my medical history from the past seven years. Seriously, what is up with that? I really don't understand it especially since Andy's had a couple of somewhat major medical events in his life. So I'm thinking it has something to do with the fact that men can't get pregnant or, you know, just something to do with the fact that I'm a girl. That may not be it at all, but I can't help but have that thought run through my head. I'm just very frustrated with the whole situation. Hopefully everything will work out but, until then, hip hip hooray for being a girl, right?
( I guess I should add that I am glad to be a girl really. I just needed to vent :)

Yes, and if you did happen to be pregnant right now, the insurance probably wouldn't take you. How retarded is that!? Hello, we're just trying to keep the human species intact! We need a little more respect, for crying out loud.
According to Alan McDonald it is usually cheaper to forgo getting a maternity plan on your health insurance and pay the cost out of pocket. Unless you know you are going to be getting pregnant really soon.
Then the insurance company would probably still not cover it, claiming, it was a foreknown factor against liability with which the insuree knowingly and willingly withheld conditions requisite to the ability of the insurer to adequately access the subjectivity of the insurees qualifications to be insured.
That's when I give the finger to the man, and go live in the woods.
